Groups and guided tours
Are you visiting the Dordrechts Museum with a group of friends, family or colleagues? Do you want to visit the museum with a class? Discover the options here.
Would you like to find out everything about our collection of six centuries of Dutch painting, or about one of the exhibitions? We provide multiple tours. Most tours are available in Dutch and English. A standard tour lasts one hour. If you rather take your time during a tour it is no problem at all. Special wishes with regard to, for example, a certain theme, can be indicated when booking. Self-guided tours are not permitted.

You can register for groups up to three weeks in advance. There is room for a maximum of 15 participants per tour or workshop. When there is a larger number of participants, the group will be split up. In this way we make sure that everyone can follow the tour guide properly.
Introduction Permanent Collection
During the introduction you will receive a thorough preparation for your visit to the permanent collection of the Dordrechts Museum. You will view the masterpieces together with our expert tour guides, after which you will visit the museum independently.
Duration: 40 – 45 minutes
Costs: €80 (group max. 15 people) .

Temporary exhibitions
A tour of the highlights of the temporary exhibition.
Duration: 60 or 90 minutes
Costs: €120 (group max. 15 people)

Highlights of the collection
A tour of the various highlights of the museum. You will discover the highlights of the collection from the 16th to the 21st century.

What inspires artists in their work? And how can art inspire you? During this interactive tour you will find out what moves artists and you will be working with the theme of inspiration yourself.

Amazement
A tour for people with dementia and their loved ones. During a Tour of Amazement, you observe paintings from our collection in a small group and under the guidance of a specially trained museum teacher. For more information, see the special Everyone Joins In page.

Watch and listen
The audio tour challenges you to look at art differently, or to reflect on what a painting means to you personally. In addition to sound, some tours also have images. Choose the audio tour with highlights from the collection if you want to learn more about six centuries of Dutch painting. Or go for a tour of one of the temporary exhibitions.
Available for free
Inquire at the reception desk in the museum for the audio tours. You will then be given a device which concludes all tours. Use our earplugs, or bring your own earplugs or headphones. The audio tours are free.
